Navigating the storms – Europeans at a crossroad: security threats and ways out of the crisis
Join European Action for Ukraine (EAU) and the Brussels Freedom Hub for a critical analysis of the shifting global order and the urgent security challenges facing Europe today.
The traditional stability provided by the US-led world order has shifted, leaving Europe at a geopolitical crossroad. This session explores the necessity for Europe to adopt a “crisis mode” to effectively counter multi-dimensional threats and establish itself as a serious geostrategic player.
Key Discussion Points:
Global Shifts: The vanishing of Pax Americana and the rise of China’s pursuit of global hegemony.
Regional Threats: Russia’s revisionist agenda, including open war in Ukraine and shadow warfare across Europe.
Transatlantic Relations: Analyzing the impact of the transatlantic rift and its effect on US-Europe cooperation.
Strategic Response: Why deterrence still matters and how to implement holistic security solutions through institutional reform and new leadership.
